Nyaope dealers caught on East Rand

Johannesburg - Three nyaope drug dealers have been arrested in Katlehong with drugs worth about R3000 on the street, Ekurhuleni metro police said on Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, metro police raided three houses in Katlehong on Thursday, aid metro police spokesman Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago.

“... Three nyaope drug dealers were surprised and arrested,” he said.

“The suspects were found with a total of about 60 packets, worth approximately R3000 on the streets.”

The three, aged 19, 30 and 37, would be charged with possession and dealing in an illicit substance.

They would appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Monday.
