A man was killed and three others injured when their car crashed into a lamp post in Woodstock, Cape Town, on Monday morning, the city's emergency medical services said.

Spokeswoman Keri Davids said the driver of the car crashed into the side of the pole at 5am, killing him instantly.

Two male passengers were critically injured and a third was seriously injured. - Sapa
