Johannesburg - SA viewers will get the chance to delve deeper into “the tragic case that shocked the world” when Oscar Pistorius: What Really Happened? airs on Sunday.

The hour-long documentary will be shown on DStv’s Discovery Channel at 8.55pm.

Pistorius faces a charge of premeditated murder for the shooting of his girlfriend, model and reality TV star Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day .

He is currently out on bail and is due back in court on June 4.

According to a press release, the documentary “digs deeper into this unprecedented case by bringing viewers new interviews, fresh information and exclusive insights from some of the friends and family of Oscar and Reeva, as well as those close to the case”.

The programme has already aired in the UK, where it reportedly attracted more than one million viewers.
