Rustenburg - Two men accused of murder appeared in the Atamelang Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, North West police said.
The matter was postponed for a bail application, Captain Pelonomi Makau said.
They were being kept in custody until their next appearance on September 3.
Samuel Mogoje, 25, and Piet Barrington, 40, are accused of punching and kicking a 35-year-old man to death in an argument at a tavern on Sunday.
