Mankweng - A man and his teenage girlfriend appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old girl, said Limpopo police.
The man faced an additional charge of rape.
Constable Moses Molepo said they would be back in court on February 21, when the two were expected to apply for bail.
“The man asked for the case to be postponed because he needed to still get a lawyer,” said Molepo.
The man, 23, remained in police custody while his 17-year-old girlfriend was being kept at a children's care centre in Polokwane.
They allegedly murdered Dikeledi Mehlape last year.
Her decomposed body was found on a mountain in the Ga Thoka area. She was raped before she was stabbed to death. - Sapa
