Johannesburg - Three men were arrested in connection with house robbery in Johannesburg on Wednesday, police said.

The men were caught during a robbery at a house in the Roosevelt Park area, said Constable Carol Mulamu.

While patrolling, police approached a man standing next to a car.

The man told the police he had a flat tyre, she said.

“While police were inspecting the vehicle, another suspect stormed out of the yard with a crowbar in his possession.”

Police went back inside the yard to see if something was wrong. A third man who was inside the yard tried to run away but was caught.

The men, aged between 24 and 35, would appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court soon, said Mulamu.
