Cape Town - An alleged paedophile's trial on multiple sex charges will start on September 25 in the Parow Regional Court in Cape Town.

Johannes Kleinhans, 73, initially pleaded guilty to 95 counts of the manufacture and possession of child pornography.

However, in mitigation of sentence, Kleinhans changed his guilty plea to one of not guilty.

The trial was to have started again on Wednesday, but prosecutor Herculene Swart asked for a postponement.

Kleinhans can be identified because he has already pleaded to the charges. - Sapa
