Kimberley – Four suspects are expected to appear in the Colesberg Magistrate's Court on Thursday on a charge of alleged drug dealing after they were caught in possession of mandrax worth R10 million, Northern Cape police said in a statement on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, police seized the mandrax tablets during a roadblock on the N1 highway near Colesberg.

The men, aged between 25 and 40, were travelling in two separate cars from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Peter Shivuri, praised the police officers for an "excellent job".
