Mothibistad - The Wrenchville police station commander appeared in the Mothibistad Magistrate's Court on Monday on robbery charges, police said.

A bail application by Captain Anna Phorotlho, 42, was postponed to February 1 pending further investigation, said Lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana. She would remain in custody.

Phorotlho was arrested last year in connection with several robberies at foreign-owned shops in Wrenchville, Kuruman.

The robbers allegedly identified her as the person who took them to the shops and who, on one occasion, allegedly supplied them with a firearm. - Sapa
