Three men were arrested after police were tipped-off about an armed robbery, Western Cape police said on Saturday.
Police received information on Friday from a community member describing the car the robbers were driving in, said spokesman Warrant Officer November Filander.
The Toyota Cressida was spotted at the corner of Symphony and Hindle roads on Friday afternoon. Filander said when the car was searched, police found an R4 rifle with 20 rounds of ammunition.
The three men, aged between 25 and 28, are due to appear in the Bellville Magistrate's Court on Monday. - Sapa
