Three men driving a white Toyota Tazz are wanted for more than eight hijackings in Kagiso on the West Rand, police said on Wednesday.

“We are looking for a white Toyota Tazz but we don't have a registration number and no arrests have been made,” Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said.

“Impala Road from Chamdor past Leratong hospital has so far been tipped as the most often used by hijackers. Whatever make of car you are driving, you are advised to be equally alert,” he said.

Last Friday, a Mercedes Benz was hijacked in Chamdor.

Four men attacked the driver outside his work premises around 7am and took his car.

A week earlier, a truck and a bakkie were hijacked in Kagiso late in the evening also by unknown men in a white Toyota Tazz.

The hijackers signalled the truck driver to stop, making him believe there was something wrong with his vehicle, said Sibiya.

The driver was held at gunpoint and forced to stay in the truck. The hijackers dropped him off a while later on Impala Road. - Sapa
