Six people were arrested for the possession of 200kg of dagga in Potchefstroom on Thursday, North West police said.

Captain Amanda Funani said the driver of a BMW lost control of his car on Viljoenskroon Road.

“The passengers of the car, four men and two woman, tried to hide the dagga in the grass.”

Police found six bags of dagga. They weighed 200kg and had an estimated street value of R300 000.

The six people were expected to appear in the Potchefstroom Magistrate's Court on Monday. - Sapa
