Port Elizabeth - A 27-year-old police constable was shot dead in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.

The officer, stationed in Bethelsdorp in Port Elizabeth, was shot by unknown people on Monday night around 10pm, Colonel Sibongile Soci said.

“He died at the scene. No arrests have been made as yet and the motive for the attack is unknown.” - Sapa
