Johannesburg - A female doctor was arrested for travelling at a speed of 191km/h on the N1 in Midrand, the Johannesburg metro police said on Sunday.
The 28-year-old was caught speeding in a 120km/h zone in her Porsche on Saturday night, said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.
“She told traffic officers that she was on her way to her home in Pretoria,” said Minnaar.
She was arrested along with 12 other motorists who were speeding above 160km/h in a special operation conducted by the high-speed unit.
Those arrested will appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court soon. - Sapa
