Port Elizabeth - Police in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of murder after two people were shot and killed in Kleinskool at the weekend.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said it was alleged that two cousins were sitting in a shack at the back of a house with friends in Honour Street, when two unknown men approached them.

She said the men asked the group about certain people and then allegedly started shooting at the group from the outside.

Naidu said a 19-year-old Lorencia Jantjies and her 34-year-old cousin Courtney Dean Jantjies were fatally wounded.

Both cousins sustained gunshot wounds to the head.

No arrests have been made.
