West Park, Pretoria -
Police swooped on a house in West Park, Pretoria, on Thursday which had been used as a drug laboratory, a national spokesman said.
Colonel Vishnu Naidoo said the house in Katlagter Street was raided around 6am.
“Chemicals, equipment and ingredients used to manufacture the drug crystal meth commonly known as “tik” (methamphetamine) were found.”
These were worth millions, he said.
“Each room of the house had been converted for a specific function, which includes a cooking room and wrapping room.”
No arrests had been made.
“Our forensic team are still on the scene while the other detectives are searching for the suspects,” Naidoo said. - Sapa
