Rape accused dad off the hook - for now

Pretoria - The case against a man facing over 40 charges of rape and sexual assault against his biological daughters has been provisionally withdrawn pending further investigations.

According to a senior prosecutor, the State needs more time to deal with the evidence brought forward.

The matter involves a lot of technological evidence with has to be downloaded from three computer servers.

The police also need adequate technological equipment to resolve the case.

The man appeared in a packed courtroom at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday and was told his case needed more time to be resolved.

The man charged with child pornography cannot be named to protect the minors’ identities.

The alleged victims are his daughters aged 8 and 12.

In her statement to police, the youngest daughter, alleged her dad forced her to watch “ugly stories”.

She said he would make her watch porn videos and then force her to have sex with him just as she saw in the movies.

He would rape her until she bled and force her to have anal and oral sex, she said.

He would also allegedly tie her up when he raped her and take pictures and videos.
