Johannesburg - A man accused of raping a woman appeared in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Friday, Gauteng police said.
He would be back in court on February 24, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
The man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman at a flat in Mofolo, Soweto.
Makhubela said police believed the man could be linked to six other cases.
He appealed to women who had been raped by a group of men driving a mini-bus in Soweto to contact police.
“We believe they were doing it as a group,” Makhubela said.
