A reward of R100 000 has been issued for any information that may lead to the arrest of a second suspect in the killing of forensic auditor Lawrence Moepi, Gauteng police said on Wednesday.

“A second suspect in the matter is still outstanding,” acting provincial commissioner Lt-Gen Lesetja Mothiba told reporters in Johannesburg.

“Investigators are in the process of compiling an identikit of the suspect.”

In October last year, Moepi was followed into the parking lot of the SizweNtsalubaGobodo offices in Houghton, Johannesburg by men in a Volkswagen Golf.

Moepi was shot as he was getting out of his car. His killers fled the scene.

Remember Siphoro, 42, was arrested in Soweto in December last year.

Last month, Siphoro was denied bail by the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court. He faces charges of murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. - Sapa
