A man who helped rob a foreigner's shop in Soweto has been arrested, police said on Tuesday.
Four men held staff at gunpoint and robbed the shop in the early hours on Monday, said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela.
They took cash, cigarettes, and airtime vouchers.
Makhubela said the 22-year-old man was arrested by police acting on a tip-off.
“The man was in the company of friends at a corner when police approached and he tried to flee but he was tracked down and arrested,” he said.
“Our investigations are continuing and we expect to make more arrests soon.” – Sapa
