Rustenburg - A woman was robbed of R20 000 by three men in Moruleng outside Rustenburg, North West police said on Friday.
Police spokesperson Major Pelonomi Makau said the 43-year-old woman was robbed on Thursday.
“It is alleged that the woman withdrew cash at a bank in Mogwase and was allegedly targeted by three suspects. One of the suspects followed her to the taxi rank on her way home to Moruleng. The suspect allegedly got in the same taxi with the woman and his accomplices followed in their vehicle until the woman disembarked the taxi in Moruleng. “
The two man driving in the car robbed the woman at gunpoint and made off with R20 000 Makau said.
“Police were notified, and managed to chase the suspects who were arrested. They will appear in Mogwase Magistrate’s Court on Monday.”
