Johannesburg - The case of a 20-year-old man accused of armed robbery and attempted murder was postponed in the Brits Magistrate's Court on Monday, North West police said.

Jori Moyo, 20, would appear for a bail application on January 22, Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said.

His co-accused, who was in hospital after police shot him while he was allegedly trying to evade arrest on Sunday, would also appear on that date.

The men, believed to be Zimbabweans, allegedly robbed, shot and wounded a 16-year-old boy on December 31. It was believed the teenager was left paralysed. A handbag and cellphone were stolen during the attack.

Police found the two after speaking to a person who bought a cellphone, believed to be the stolen cellphone, in the area on Saturday. - Sapa
