A South African man is due to stand trial for a double homicide in New Mexico, a report has said.
According to Eyewitness News, 33-year-old Muziwokuthula Madonda is currently being held in a Texas prison awaiting extradition back to New Mexico after being arrested for allegedly killing two men in a motel room.
In addition, the report said Madonda had allegedly confessed to also killing two other people.
After his arrest, Madonda reportedly told police he had shot dead the vice-president of Akron Bank in Ohio, Jacquelyn Hilder during an apparent robbery.
Two days after Hilder was killed, Madonda allegedly shot a South African from Durban, who had been living in New York.
New Mexico police said Madonda, who is reportedly in the US on a student visa, will stand trial for two counts of murder and one count of tampering with evidence. - IOL
