SA to extradite wanted UK man

Johannesburg - Convicted UK drug trafficker and fraudster Martin Evans will be extradited to his home country, SABC news reported on Monday.

The British fugitive made a brief appearance in the Randburg Magistrate's Court.

According to the report, the 52-year-old man told the court he would not appeal the judgment.

He was arrested at a complex in Midrand on August 2 by police and Interpol.

Evans, from Swansea in Wales, had been on the run since 2011 when he failed to return to prison after being given a short release of a few days.

He was serving 21 years for conspiracy to supply cocaine, and fraudulent trading.
