Johannesburg - The body of a man was found tied up in a field in Soweto on Saturday, Johannesburg police said.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said a man was collecting scrap metal in an open field between Dobsonville and Doringkop when he came across the body just before 8am.
“He saw the body of a man tied up with rope. His hands and legs were tied at the back. He also had sellotape wrapped around his head.”
When police untied the man, believed to be in his 30s, they found he was also handcuffed.
“We also found an open wound in his head. He might have been killed somewhere else and dropped there.”
