Johannesburg - The search for three men, believed to have been shot and dumped in Sand River in Thabong, was continuing on Friday, Free State police said.
The body of a Lesotho national, his hands bound with cable-ties, was found in the river on Thursday.
He had a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
“We have to follow all leads. Police divers are now searching the river,” said Warrant Officer Malebo Khosana.
The men were believed to be illegal miners.
They were processing gold dust near the river when a rival group of illegal miners attacked them.
