Port Alfred, Eastern Cape - Two security guards collecting money from a store in Port Alfred were robbed by an armed gang after midday on Monday, Eastern Cape police said.

“Two of the suspects pointed firearms at the two guards, seized their firearms before fleeing with boxes of money... in a white Ford Bantam,” Lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula said.

It was not known how much money they took. The guards were from Multi Security. Police later found the vehicle. No arrests had been made. - Sapa
