Johannesburg - Seven people arrested in connection with a young man's murder appeared in the Galeshewe Magistrate's Court, Kimberley, on Thursday, Northern Cape police said.

They were arrested earlier in the week, said Lieutenant Sergio Kock.

An eighth suspect was arrested on Wednesday and would appear with the rest of the group in court on Friday.

The group allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Julian James Broekstein numerous times on Sunday.

“His body was discovered by a resident in the vicinity,” said Kock.

The motive for the killing was unknown. - Sapa
