Seven nabbed for Sasolburg robberies

Bloemfontein - Police have arrested seven people, five foreigners and two South Africans, for a series of robberies in the Sasolburg area, police said on Tuesday.

Constable Peter Kareli said the five Mozambicans and two South Africans, aged between 22 and 32, were arrested in Katlehong, Orange Farm and Mamelodi.

Stolen property was seized from the men.

Kareli said two more people were arrested in Vanderbijlpark who were found to be in possession of some of the stolen property.

Police said a task team was recently established to look into house robberies in Sasolburg.

More arrests were to follow as investigations were ongoing, Kareli said. - Sapa
