Johannesburg - Seven people - including two minors - accused of gang-raping a Soweto teenager are expected to appear in Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

The men and boys, who matched the descriptions of the suspects seen in a video recording of the attack, were arrested in Dobsonville on Tuesday.

The video of the gang-rape of the 17-year-old girl went viral on the Internet on Wednesday and was one of the main topics trending on Twitter.

The girl went missing on March 21 and was found in Braamfischerville on Wednesday. - Sapa
