Butterworth, Eastern Cape - A human skull has been found near an initiation school in Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.

A shoe and a t-shirt were found nearby, said Captain Jackson Manatha.

Police believed the skull had been lying there for more than a year.

“There were no other bones,” said Manatha.
