Cape Town - Like something out of a Hollywood movie, a high-speed car chase along the N2 on Saturday ended with two cars being pushed into the highway’s barriers and the arrest of a wanted woman.

At 4.20pm on Saturday, a 41-year-old Sea Point woman driving a Jaguar was caught by ghost squad teams from Traffic Services racing down the N2, her car allegedly doing about 240km/h.

“She pushed two cars into the barriers,” Inspector Maxine Jordaan, Traffic Services media spokeswoman, said.

With blue lights flashing, the ghost squad chased the woman from Jan Smuts Drive to Robert Sobukwe Road in Bellville.

More officers were called in, and she was finally halted in Bellville.

The woman had no good reason for her conduct. She apparently admitted there was no emergency.

She was found to have two outstanding warrants.
