Suspect held for fatal tavern stabbing

Rustenburg - A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death with a knife in Moruleng outside Rustenburg, North West police said on Tuesday.

Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said the man allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old man on Monday.

“The incident occurred at one of the local taverns at Moruleng village near Mogwase.

According to information, the suspect and the victim had an argument that led to stabbing of the victim. The latter managed to walk to his grandmother’s place where he was found lying dead. A case of murder was registered and the suspect was arrested.”

The man was expected to appear in the Mankwe Magistrate’s Court in Mogwase on Wednesday.
