Suspected car thief beaten to death

A man accused of stealing a car was beaten to death at the Ngangelizwe township near Mthatha, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.

Lt-Col Mzukisi Fatyela said a group of people killed the 23-year-old man around 8pm on Sunday.

No arrests had been made and police were investigating. - Sapa
