Bloemfontein - Two men allegedly linked to various robberies at local filling station shops will again appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court, Volksblad newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The men and a woman, locally dubbed the “Sweet tooth and headache” gang because of their preference for chocolates and Grand-Pa headache powders, were arrested last week after allegedly terrorising filling stations for the past six months.

The men appeared in court on charges of theft on Monday.

The matter was postponed to Tuesday.

The men were arrested in Bloemfontein on Thursday.

The woman, allegedly the third member of the gang, was arrested in Kimberley on similar charges last week. Details of her court proceedings were not immediately known.

Various Bloemfontein filling station owners appointed a private investigator to catch them.

Video footage of the gang was circulated among petrol stations, leading to the arrest of the two men in Bloemfontein last week, and the woman in Kimberley. - Sapa
