A Limpopo teacher accused of knocking over and killing two primary school pupils appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, police said.

William Tshwale, 37, a teacher at Ramabu High School, had his bail extended, said Constable Moses Molepo.

“The matter was postponed to July 25 for further investigations.”

At a previous court appearance Tshwale was granted R2000 bail. He faces two charges of culpable homicide.

Tshwale was driving home from work at about 3.30pm on April 16 when he allegedly struck the children.

Maite Matlala and Karabo Tauyatswala, both seven years old, were from Sebayeng Primary School in Mankweng. They died on the scene. - Sapa
