Two teachers from a Benoni school were on Monday arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography, Gauteng police said.
One teacher was arrested at the school and the other was arrested at his home at about 1pm, Captain Julia Sparks said.
The two aged 44 and 46 allegedly kept pornographic material in their computers.
It is alleged that during September, a teacher at a school in the area went into the school's media centre to do some printing.
While printing, she noticed copies of child pornography and reported it to the principal.
The matter was investigated and the pornographic material was traced to a laptop of one of the teachers and the computer of another.
The teachers would appear in the Benoni Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. - Sapa
