Johannesburg - An 18-year-old has been shot dead in an apparent revenge attack in Reigerpark, Boksburg, Gauteng police said on Monday.

Mervin Jordaan was shot dead, with a shotgun outside a block of flats on Sunday morning, said Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini.

He had been out on bail on an attempted murder charge.

Dlamini said the motive for his killing was unknown, but police suspected revenge. He could not confirm whether Jordaan was part of a gang. - Sapa
