A man died after a 17-year-old teenager stabbed him with a knife in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape police said on Monday.
The 28-year-old man was killed in an argument with the teenager at his home on Saturday, said Captain Malcolm Pojie.
“The argument erupted when the teenager was walking past the home of the deceased,” he said.
It is alleged that the teenager entered the home and stabbed the man in the heart.
“Paramedics certified the man dead on arrival due to the injuries he sustained,” said Pojie.
The boy was arrested at his home and charged with murder on Saturday evening.
He was expected to appear in the Oudtshoorn Magistrate's Court soon.
Pojie said social workers were expected to assess the youth before his court appearance. - Sapa
