Ten people were killed in a collision between a heavy truck and a minibus near Makhado, in Limpopo on Tuesday, police said.
Fifteen people were injured, Captain Maano Sadike said.
“The 10 people died on the accident scene - eight men, one woman and a small boy. Their ages are unknown at this stage,” he said.
Most of the injuredwere taken to the Louis Trichardt Memorial Hospital. Three of them were taken to Elin Hospital in Makhado.
“We have opened a case of culpable homicide. Investigations are currently underway to establish the cause of the crash,” said Sadike.
He said the minibus had been travelling to Zimbabwe and the truck to Johannesburg. - Sapa
