East London - An Eastern Cape man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail by the East London Regional Court, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.

Lulamile Bosman, 42, was sentenced on Tuesday. He was found guilty of the attempted murder of his girlfriend, whom he accused of cheating on him, Lt-Col Mtati Tana said.

In March last year, he assaulted the 32-year-old woman and stabbed her. He then tried to bury her alive. She was saved by a passer-by, who found her partially buried. - Sapa
