Secunda - A third man was arrested at the weekend in connection with the kidnapping and killing of a man in eMbalenhle, Secunda, Mpumalanga police said on Monday.

The 24-year-old man was taken into custody on Saturday after the body of a man was found in a shallow grave just outside eMbalenhle, Sergeant Gerald Sedibe said.

His alleged accomplices, aged 27 and 35, were taken in for questioning on Thursday after the 24-year-old man was reported missing on February 1.

“Information at police's disposal revealed that the victim... was accused of stealing money from one of the suspect's tuck-shop in eMbalenhle,” said Sedibe.

He was assaulted with knobkerries and his hands and feet were burnt with an electric stove.
