Three held for KZN robbery

Durban - Three men were arrested for assaulting a shopkeeper and robbing him of airtime and an undisclosed amount of money in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Wednesday.

The men, aged between 18 and 25, were arrested for robbing a supermarket on Murchison Road on October 12.

Four men forced entry through the store's security gate and robbed a shopkeeper of airtime and cash. They stabbed and beat him.

The two would be charged with business robbery and were expected to appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court soon.

The shopkeeper sustained serious injuries.
