Three held for North West tavern robbery

Rustenburg – Three men were arrested for allegedly robbing a tavern of an undisclosed amount of money in Khuma, near Stilfontein, North West police said on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said the three were arrested on Tuesday. They allegedly robbed a tavern on Sunday.

“According to information received, the suspects robbed a local tavern of an undisclosed amount of cash at gunpoint in Maseru Section, Khuma, and were arrested after the robbery.”

The three, aged 21, 22 and 30, were expected to appear in the Stilfontein Magistrate’s Court on a charge of business robbery.
