Johannesburg - Three men were arrested in Naledi, Soweto, on Tuesday, for allegedly beating up a man in a mob justice attack, said Johannesburg police.
They accused the man of stabbing their friend, said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela.
“They stoned him and beat him with iron rods,” he said.
Police were called in and they rescued him.
“The three were arrested and charged with assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and mob justice,” said Makhubela.
They were expected to appear soon in the Protea Magistrate's Court. - Sapa
