Tokai murder: parents offer reward

The parents of 16-year old Franziska Blöchliger, who was found murdered near Tokai Forest on Monday, have offered a reward to anyone who can help them find her killer.

In a videotaped interview with EWN Florian and Shireen Blöchliger said they were offering the reward to stop the killer from hurting anyone else.

The teenager was murdered after she veered of while on a family outing to Tokai Forest on Monday.

The family launched a search for her and her body was later discovered in Dennedal Road.

The murder has shocked locals. A group called Constantia Society called on the community to participate in a silent march at Tokai Forest on Tuesday evening.

Tokai Forest is a favourite spot for Cape Town families and has up to now always been considered a relatively safe place.
