Johannesburg - Two traffic officers were arrested on Sunday for alleged corruption in Mthatha, Eastern Cape police said.

“The two women were arrested this afternoon and R6 300 was recovered,” Lieutenant Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said.

“This followed an undercover operation following a complaint from a member of the public where the officers demanded R800 as a bribe.”

The woman were expected to appear in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court on Monday. - Sapa
