Johannesburg - Five men were arrested in Komga for being in possession of dagga with an estimated street value of R900 000, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.

“The five were arrested following a planned intelligence operation about alleged drugs in transit from Ntabankulu to Port Elizabeth,” said spokesman Nkosikho Mzuku.

Twenty bags of dagga were found in a minibus they were travelling in.

The men, aged between 25 and 44, were expected to appear in the Komga Magistrate's Court soon to face charges of possession of dagga. - Sapa
