Two suspected ATM bombers were arrested on Thursday morning in Mfuleni, Cape Town, Western Cape police said.
Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Traut said officers waited near an ATM in Main Road, Wesbank, around 4.30am and spotted four people approaching.
A brief shoot-out followed and two people, aged 27 and 36, were arrested. One of them was shot in the leg and was being treated in custody.
The other two fled the scene and had not been arrested.
