Two held after drugs worth R53 500 found in Rustenburg

Rustenburg – A man and a woman were arrested in Seraleng near Rustenburg for possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R53 500, North West police said on Thursday. 

Lieutenant Colonel Pelonomi Makau said a 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman had been arrested on Wednesday by the Phokeng K9 Unit after a police search of a property had uncovered small packets of nyaope as well as dagga with estimated street value of R53 500. 

An undisclosed amount of cash had also been found. The two were expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
